Ongoing

Permanecer is an ongoing exploration of the rural landscape as a repository of memory. Through traces left on buildings, objects, paths and abandoned spaces, the project observes how human presence endures beyond use, occupation or time.
Rather than documenting disappearance, Permanecer focuses on what resists it. Fragments, marks and silent remnants become evidence of lives, gestures and stories still embedded in the territory. The work unfolds through three interconnected chapters: Arraigo, Vestigios and Deriva.
I · Resistencia
Trees, places and traces of life that continue to exist against the slow erosion of time.
II · Transición
On the gradual changes that shape what endures, revealing transformation as an inevitable part of permanence.
III · Vestigios
On traces, remnants and fragments of presence that endure beyond their original purpose.
This chapter is presented here as a selected edit from an ongoing body of work.
The complete series, including unpublished photographs, is available for exhibition, publication and curatorial review upon request.
